Post-azythromiacin reaction

I took azythromiacin in 2012 and after a few weeks started to feel dizzy/unbalanced. Brain fog. Tingling/burning sensation in head. Nausea, slight unwanted movement with eyes and other unpleasant sensations. The dizziness went on for 3 1/2 years. I didn't realize that the medicine had caused this reaction. But now after another dose of azythromiacin in June 2017 I am feeling the same symptoms again.
All the doctors tell me the medicine is out of my system so I guess I am wondering if it can trigger and auto immune/nervous system response that is attacking the nerves in my brain. It's only been 3 weeks but everyday my dizziness seems to progress to a more severe feeling.
I wish I didn't have to go through this again. It's my worst nightmare.
Any thoughts on neurological conditions that cause these symptoms?
