hand fungus

is it possible to get both  hand fungus just red rings on palms and below  tips of  fingers. I got FLAT  1/4 inch rings red  clear in the middle and  bunched together like honeycomb pattern burning and tingly and throbbing no ITCHING, NO RAISED AREAS ,NO SCALING, NO ERUPTIONS NO DRy AREAS. I did use lamisal at for 2 weeks then per dermatologist took me off then 2 days later  got burning back put me on cultavate lotion. I am being told scaling is always present. my feet are red only dry skin no scaling at heels do itch at heels.I PRESENT NO SCALING , NO RAISED AREAS, NO ERUPTIONS so dermatologist  always say u dont have fungus. It is obvious to me if lamisal at worked it must be fungus but my dermatologist says there something in lamisal at that is taking the burning away. IS IT POSSIBLE THIS IS FUNGUS BECAUSE THERE IS NO DRYNESS, NO SCALING,NO ERUPTIONS  it is FLAT LIKE IT IS PART OF YOUR SKIN, NO SIGNS OF ITCHING ONLY tingling & burning? I know u cant comment to much without observation. My problem i look at ringworm and athletes feet pictures they do not look anything like i have. confused HELP?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These ring like lesions on palms can be due to epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, Keratosis punctata or ringworm palms ( although less likely). In order to rule out any fungal infection, I suggest you to get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done to confirm the diagnosis. A fungal culture can also be done.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
