Tiny bugs that jump off of hair and onto pillow at night

Hello,

For the past year or so I can feel (and hear, on my pillow close to my ears), tiny little bugs jumping off of my hair and onto my pillow. I can also feel them jumping on my eyelid or face skin from time to time.

They do not bite, and I do not have any itching. I don't think it is head lice or bed bugs. Any idea of what it might be?

Note that I do not have hygiene problems. I shower every day, etc. I also travel quite a lot and stay in various types of accommodation every month, including luxury hotels. But invariably I feel (and hear) the tiny bugs jumping off of my hair and onto the pillow, so they seem to live in my hair.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
