itchy white dry spot on penis skin

Hi,
I am really worried about this so I would be so appreciating your instant reply on this If I can save myself before my issue grows up more,
Two white small spots showed up on May 2010 , on the skin of my penis root side ,after having sex with my girlfriend without protection and as well anal ,
I thought it was a small infection that it would go by any skin infection lotion so I used one ( Mometasone Furoate)
but ...recently Feb 2011 , These two small spots has combined to make one bigger spot ; Dry , Itchy & white .
I noticed it when I was having a pee and I held my penis down and that spot got cracked and its hurting me so far ,
I am afraid that it might be some serious infection or a sexual disease that would grow up even more .
I really feel so embaressed to go to a doctor to check about it, as well as its really somthing suspecious to me that i dont like to make any step without any guidance.
Please help , and give me at least what kind of possibilities it might be .
Please help .

Hello,
From the symptoms it does not look like herpes. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak.

I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I really so much appreciate your early reply ,
But I never had eczema before , and this spot is exclusively one and only on my penis skin. Through my research through the internet , I've read some possibilities it might be Herpes ? what would you say about that ?
You are so appreciated .

Hello,
It can be due to eczema skin. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton clothes and apply good quality moisturizers. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
