lumps in armpits

Hi,

So I currently have a bunch of little bumps under my armpits. They are pea-sized or smaller and there are probably 4-6 under each armpit. I am guessing these may be lymph nodes, but I have been able to feel them there for a fairly long time. I use to have sebaceous cysts so I took accutane a few years ago and that cleared up most of my cysts and acne, but I now get  cysts on the right side of my neck. I have 2 right now that are probably 3-5cm and movable, but painless. Not sure if these are related to my armpit bumps or not. Is it normal to be able to feel the small bumps under the armpits? I've had doctors check there and they never said anything about them. Going to see a dermatologist soon for my neck cysts.

Thanks

Hello,
This kind of bump can be a swollen lymph node,a sebaceous cyst or a boil. Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection along with other numerous causes. Sebaceous cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin that has a lining that resembles the uppermost part (infundibulum) of a hair follicle and fills with a fatty white, semi-solid material called sebum produced by sebaceous glands of the epidermis. It is usually painless but can become painful if infected. Then antibiotics are needed.Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle be staph aureus.Treatment includes antibiotics.

Pls consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
