perioral dermatitis
hi am sterlla i have periorial dermatitis from some years.... i have taken treatment from some dermotologists they gave some vitamin tablets & creams... by using dat i gets disappering but when i stop dat it again appears... some on suggested me to take laser treatement... and some one told me dat it again comes after laser treatement pls suggest me for permanent treatement for dis... thank u

Hi. I am 43 and have this around my chin, between my eyebrows and it is getting worse in both areas.
I was prescribed sulfacetamide sodium topical suspension 10% 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, after 3 phone calls, I was prescribed Minocycline 100mg # 30. Can you tell me why Doxy is preferred to Minocycline? Does the Doxy work faster than the Mino? I am allergic to NSAIDS if that makes any difference.

hi i have dark tan like on my sides of nose and around my mouth..... is it perioral dermatitis?... am suffering from long time... i use so creams nd tablets I I need permanent cure for dis... pls suggest me any treatment for dis.... is laser treatement is the permanent solution... and please suggest me best soap and cream for my skin(dry skin).....

Perioral dermatitis like acne is a chronic papulopustular and eczematous facial dermatitis. It mostly effects women and appear around the nose, mouth and eyes. Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.
Doxycycline is the preferred antibiotic for perioral dermatitis but minocycline can also be used.
