podiatric forum not fund here, so trying this one; skin related

I have bunion on my right foot.  I hike once a week for 3-5 miles only.  It seems to me that my big toe on the right side where the bunion side is has changed its LOOK and formation of its nail..

I used to have all STARIGHT/flat nail plates of my fingers and toes (kind of sitting right on top of each nail-bed).  However, the nail-plate of my right big toe seems to be sunken, so that the tips of the toe seems to be rounder and its skin there is shiny.

Right toe:

Compare left and right (although the left one doesn't look flat at all, perhaps due to some weight pressure on the foot):

Any concerns?   Thanks
