What do I do if I have metal shards stuck in my face?

I had a horrible acne breakout. I decided to use one of those "moisturizing face masks" for the first time. It was supposed to be left on for 15 min. Somehow I fell asleep.  After washing my face several areas were completely raw down to no skin.  I was using neosporn but everything was sticking to me, fuzzies from towels, little hairs from god knows where. I was using the tweezers to pull the debris out of my face when I noticed a metal piece from the tweezers (obviously cheap) fall out and it went right into my open skin.  I did everything possible to get it out, probably making the matter worse and getting more shards in my face. After that. my skin constantly looks like it has crystals all over it.  Even my facial hair that grows in is bright and shiny.  The areas where I had open sores are still not healed.  They are bright and shiny and I know its the metal. I know that I have gotten some of the actual metal (vs the regrowth of my skin and hairs) out but is there anyway to get the remainder out so the rest of my face can heal?  I am going through a battle with my insurance and it will be fall until I can see a dermatologists.  People don't believe me, but of I have pictures of flakes from my skin that show metal on them and even my face when I wake up I have pics showing how bad it looks.  I have saved several flakes to get a skin test at some point.

Can you get to a regular doctor with the insurance you have now?  If you can, skip the dermatologist for now, and see your primary care, just to get the ball rolling on getting you healed up and having someone take a look.
