streptococcal dermatitis?

Hello,  I've been having an ongoing problem that seems to only get worse.   Was in Nevda last year and went to a brothel for the 1st and last time in my life.  I received protected fellatio.  The csw was very forcefull and pulled the condom halfway off during the event with her hand.  She put it back on and finished.  3 days later I felt a tingling on my scrotum.  At the time is attributed it to paranoia and put it out of my mind.  Then about 7 days after the incident I noticed small bumps on my shaft.  They were really only noticable when errect.  3 weeks later there was a bit more tingling and a few more little bumps.   3 more weeks pass and my scrotum turns red and irritated and starts to burn.   the burning continues and spreads in the folds of my skin (thighs).  my entire scrotum and penis burn.    My arms, chest, back and face have broken out. And my throat is sore with little bumps and there is a whitish coating on my tounge. This has been going on for months.  And the pain has been excruciating.

I've been tested for all STDs and all negative.  Been treated for fungal/yeast.  As well as a few different antibiotics to no avail.  Creams have made it worse.  I've tried just about everything I can think of.

Could this possibly be streptococcal dermatitis?

I have read that SD is often misdiagnosed for long periods and patients are subjected to treatments for a variety of differential diagnoses without success. Patients can be asymptomatic for bacterial infections.  I've also read that it's been passed via fellatio "group A beta-eaemolytic streptococcal pyroderma"

I know that this is an infection of some sort.  I just don't know what.  And no doctors have been able to figure it out thus far.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you

Hi,

Just wanted to update everyone - The Cipro I was on for 10 days seemed to kill the Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria and brought the Staphylococcus bacteria from heavy growth to medium growth.  These bascteria were found on my scrotum before I started taking Cipro. Now I have been on another antibiotic for 2 weeks - Sulfa/triemthoprim - it seems to have helped a bit ---but I notice the tingling and uncomfortable dryish/slight burn feeling gets a lot worse when I eat sweets. I'm definitely sure of this now as I have see huge differences.  -- My mouth seems to be better nasal congestion seems to be gone but still get this slimy feeling in my throat ---like there is mucous stuck in the middle ----and when I do eat some suger I notice my saliva turns thicker.

The genital discomfort is the worst and I just want to figure out at least what the hell it is. There seems to be no rash ---just a dis comfortable feeling from the testicle to the anal area ----penis seems totally fine.

Just wanted to update everyone ----please keep me posted if anyone finds answers that could help!

staphstapsraph, and e-coli are just two examples of diseases that are spread in hospitals due to staff not properly washing their nhand

Thanks all for the input.  I've never had any discharge at all associated with this.  The only blood tests i've had are for stds, which were negative.  And for EBV, which I've had mono before so that was positive, but a useless test.  and hep b & c, which were negative.  Been to an infectious doctor who did no testing whatsoever.  Just told me to get eat and exercise properly.  There is occasional itching, but pretty rare.  My main concern is the unrelenting burning.  It's on my entire penis, scrotum, and between my legs.

I had a lot of problems with staph for over a yr. I had cyst like boils. Just about everyone has them in the groin area. It is a warm and moist area, so it is an ideal place for bacteria to grow. I had not been in the hospital for anything, so I have no idea where I got it. I even got it on my eyelids, under my eye lids and eye lashes. I went to the eye dr to treat my eyes. Before that, I had one in my lower intestines. That was more painful than any of them.

My regular dr never took the first sample, just kept giving me the same antibiotic, over and over. I did a lot of research after a while, talked to my health insurance medical adviser, and called an Infectious Disease Dr's and spoke to the nurse. At the Infectious Disease Dr she said they only see people as a second opinion or if the dr has a problem treating it. My health insurance asked me if the dr took a sample and I said no. He couldn't believe it. He said they could also take a blood test. If no sample is taken, they don't know what antibiotic to use.

Staph has reached an epidemic status. If you check through the forum, there are many that have it. One member I talked to whose children had it, told me the local school notified the parents one child had MRSA and had been hospitalized and was doing fine. Staph can kill you, and the drs playing around with hit and miss antibiotics are ridiculas. If you don't get results, have the dr refer you to an infectious disease dr. Staph is a bacteria infection. A yeast infection normally itches and it comes from an overgrowth of good bacteria. Monistat can clear up yeast. If he took a sample he would know if it was yeast. It is a shame to go to 12 drs before one decides to take a sample. He should be able to clear it up since he took a sample. If it is MRSA then there may be a battle, but atleast this dr is on the right track. If you do have problems and can't get referred to ID dr call your insurance company and talk to the medical adviser they have. They can tell you what you need to do to get proper medical help. The only way I got rid of mine was that I got an urinary tract infection and whatever my dr gave me cleared it up. Now, ain't that a trip!

You could have yeast in your mouth if you have been taking a lot of antibiotics. Antibiotics will kill the good with the bad and it causes an overgrowth of good. That is what causes yeast. Normally, you would have a white coating on your tongue. If the mouth wash works for you then that is good. Stay away from yeast products and sweets. It will flare it more. Another thing that you could try on the loin area is Betadine Dou__e (they blank it when I spell it out, but it is in the femine dept.). Get the one that you mix yourself and use a wash cloth to soak the areas really good. It is great for bacteria. Try to get as much air as you can and you can dust the area when wearing clothing with corn starch (no powder it holds wetness and you need to keep it dry). I'm suprised the dr didn't order you a cream to use.

Hope everything works out ok. Keep me informed on how you are doing. RJ

No.  I don't know what it is.  Doctors can't find anything with swabs.  It started out as a tingling sensation for me and then grew into a burning red moist scrotum.  All of the doctors I've seen don't seem to care too much at all.  They all think that there is no correlation between my burning groin and other symptoms.  ie- mouth, chest, scalp.  I have no idea what to do now.  It hurts so bad and no doctor seems to care.

The 11th or 12th doctor I went to (a urologist) finally did do a skin culture about 2 weeks ago and found heavy growth of antibiotic resistant Staphylococcus bacteria and light growth of Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria.

According to my research - this may be MRSA because the Staphylococcus bacteria that was found is resistant to some common antibiotics like Penicillin and Oxacillin.

I am also using StaphAseptic (can buy off the shelf at Long's drugstore) on the scrotal area for the discomfort and tingling there. StaphAseptic is new and it says on the box it will prevent MRSA staph infections. Don't know if it will really help if you already have an infection --- but it seems to be helping (but this could just be the Cipro antibiotic I am on working or the temporary numbing medication from the StaphAseptic active ingredients).

This does sound like it could possibly be MRSA based on my research. MRSA is a growing epidemic. Many people pick it up in hospitals and then transfer it to other people via skin to skin contact. I will ask the doctor when I see him this week. I have not had a chance to speak to him since I got the test results - he had just called-in a 10 day prescription of Cipro for me to take to resolve the issue. I do feel better now but the tingling is still there and the nasal congestion has not totally left.

I believe this is either a bacterial infection (possibly MRSA) or Candida/Yeast.  I am leaning towards the bacterial infection.

The one problem I still have besides for the tingling scrotum area is that when I eat sugars, breads, etc....  my saliva seems to feel more mucous-like and I have to spit more often ----this happens less frequently as it used too ----but I want it gone completely.  If anyone has info on what may help, please post.

Also, I found a tongue-scraper and biotene mouth wash helped me.

I will continue to research and go to the doctor to try to get to the bottom of this. It seems there are many other people facing similar symptoms with no answers.

Has either of your drs taken a scraping of any of the areas? or a blood test? That should tell them what it is. If they did, then have them refer you to an Infectious Disease Dr. Keep in touch, I am curious as to the results. I would not waste any time because if it is affecting your throat it could affect organs. RJ

Hey - did you find out what this was --- I Had some similar symptoms except for the bumps. Read my post "6 months of hell" for what I have learned so far. I think I am finding answers after going from doctor to doctor ---but have not completely cured the issue yet. Let me know what you find out.
