Hello,
The bumps that you had sound like folliculitis and not herpes. The fever seems unrelated to the bumps. When signs of herpes occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
How do you get rid of a whitehead on your rectum up high on the outside of rectum? Do you pop it or go to the doctor. It is getting painful.

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like an infected hair follicle or boil. A Boil is caused by an infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle.
Apply warm compresses on the bump and keep the area clean. You should consult a doctor as you might need a course of antibiotics/anti-inflammatories to take care of the same. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
