leg cramps

stormdragon39External User
I have had type 2 diabetes for 12 years now. Since earlier this year, my legs have been tingling and it has slowly gotten worse.  I am now taking 1200mg Calcium three times a day, 800 mg of mag ox, and still no relief.  What else can I do?  It hurts to stand, sit, elevate my legs.

Hi, as a longterm T2, i had nerve pains aka Neuropathic pains especially at nights. I treated myself by keeping  my A1C less than 5.6% and my blood sugar level always less than 140 mg/dl at any times during the day. . Within 2, 3 weeks my leg pains became almost gone., no more pains.Good luck

"What else can I do?"

Go see your doctor, we cannot exam you over the Internet. Blood testing is in order to rule out a hidden disease that only testing can uncover. If your diabetes has been uncontrolled or ill-managed your symptoms could be signs of diabetic neuropathy [dn]. If left untreated dn can lead to amputation. Good luck -
