If you already have diabetes II, what risks (for the mom and baby) are there to be pregnant and have a child???

It will be important to have close follow-up with your dr. Sometimes pregnancy and hormones can make diabetes flare up and throw your sugars off. When you are high the baby is high. Extra careful diet will be required and maybe extra insulin. Lots of people have babies with Type II but it's how they manage the two that makes the difference.
