Stay away from breads, baked items. When you eat a piece of fruit, eat some protein with it. It will raise your BG (eating does that) but it shouldn't spike out too high.

Your on line so before you buy or eat fruit Google "carbs in _____" fill in blank with fruit name. I found fruit raises my BG too much. I do eat limited blueberries, , raspberries, strawberries ....
And Yes ALL carbohydrates raise BG. I wish my first MD had been as smart as yours' is.
