My ears get red in sunlight

Hello All,
I have a strange symptom that My ears get ref whenever I go in the sun (Does not happen all the time but often happens) .I am a type 2 diabetic and have been controlling it with diet so far .Reg this ears issue ,I have gone to doctors many times, had all the STD tests done, some skin blood tests done but so far nothing is diagnosed . Can anyone relate to this problem or know what is it ?

Could also be a reaction to medication as some can make a person more sensitive to UV rays. Also allergies. Might try posting on the Dermatology forum.

Yes ,It is red ( sorry for spelling overlook)  I do use SPF 30 sometimes but I am interested to know why it happens ? What causes it ? I also feel irritation on my exposed skin as well . Is it related to diabetes in anyway ? As I had other tests done and nothing showed up in tests .

Interpreting "My ears get ref" I'm assuming 'ref' means red. Do you use SPF30+ sunblock on your ears, especially the top?
