now that is a good question I dont think everyone can afford all these tests ..maybe we will in the future good luck chirs388...
is there any place you can get a cheap mri
"...push for a mri or get a physical or neurological exam. "
You should. An MRI uncovers soft tissue diseases. Mighty good uncovering brain issues. My cousin is a surgical cardiology nurse at major Calif hospital. He said a Contrasted CT Angiogram; a CT Scan with Contrast Fluid of the chest/heart area is the best heart test after an EKG, tread mill stress test, and a Myocardial Perfusion Imaging stress test.
It's an A1c [aye-one-see] not aic. Goofy computer text makes things look alike, l [lower case el] I [upper case eye], etc.
i've gotten on some medication for mood swings, ive had a cbc test done came out fine , had thyroid out fine but i havent had a aic test that checks blood sugar over past three months. I just gotten frustrated about keep having head pressure , blurry vision , feel short of breath and sleeping alot more, feel weak, arms , espeically legs, have had chest palpations and just not mentally there. so thinking if this continues might push for a mri or get a physical or neurological exam.
I read your other Medhelp Forum threads. Question to you is what have you done regarding what doctornee suggested; "With a history of sore throat and stiff neck, balance problems, meningitis should be ruled out. Compressed cervical spinal nerves too should be ruled out by MRI. Sleep studies should be done to know the cause behind this altered sleep pattern."
Your other thread mentioned thyroid imbalance. Suggestions were left. What have you done further with this? What medications are you taking?
Check your blood sugar levels it sounds like your levels are low. Don't skip a meal try eating 3 small meals and 3 snacks a day
It also wouldn't hurt to get tested by your doctor to see if you possibly have diabetes or are pre-diabetic.
It sounds like your sugar is low when this happens. You need to eat 3 meals with a snack or 2 during the day to keep your B/S up.
