I find that a small portion of strawberries is OK for me.  I also buy Del Monte "No Sugar Added" canned peaches.  There are 9 grams of carbs per serving.  To be fair, they don't taste like Cling Peaches in heavy syrup, but that's the breaks......

For fruit it also has to do with portion size.

1 small kiwi, likely won't have much impact on blood sugars.

The best advice is eat to your meter.  Check your portion size and then test after about 1 1/2 to 2 hours after eating.  IF your blood sugar didn't go up significantly, then that fruit is ok for you.

Do monitor over time as this may change.

The safest bet is to eat the following common fresh fruits sparingly, which are lowest in fructose:

* Strawberries, Bananas, Cantaloupe, Pineapple, Peaches, Grapefruit, Limes and Lemons, Avocados and Tomatoes, Apricots, Mangos, and Plums.

Take care to avoid all dried fruits (ALL dried fruits are HIGH in fructose) and eliminate artificial fruit juices while limiting consumption of fruits highest in fructose. Fruits such as:

* Grapes, Apples, Pears, Cherries, Pomegranate, Kiwi, Blackberries, Blueberries, Watermelon, Raspberries, Starfruit, Purple Passion Fruit.

For me fruit is a no no.

get a BG meter test before test 1hour and 2 hours after eating fruit, if your BG rises more than 40 pts OR goes over 140 fruit is a no no for you.  But remember fruit contains fructose our BG meters do NOT measure fructose, fructose does all tha damage that sugar does but we cant measure it.  Also a mager part of fructose gets converted to triglycerides (fat).
