Problems, help...

Well, to begin with I'm a 28 year old Male with a fair amount of stress related physical problems (I have panic attacks really easily and they can last for a while, days or even weeks).  Anyway, about six weeks ago I had what I thought was the flu but in hindsight could have easily been some sort of food poisoning.  Between throwing up and the urgency of diahrea I couldn't do anything for probably about eight hours but the symptoms and fever cleared up completely within a day or two.  This whole ordeal did a lot of damage, I could feel it, burning in my rear end, itchiness and stripped feeling in my throat.    Anyway, shortly after I had a terrible case of indigestion and burning, so severe that anything that went down would cause intense burning in the middle of my chest.  After a week it cleared up (with the help of a fair amount of milk).  A week after that I had some bright red blood on my stool and ever since whenever I get hungry its like the hungry sensation is multiplied (so much that it makes me terribly uncomfortable.  Eating a light snack or something will usually take care of it though).  My stools have also been irregular with a mixture of soft, light brown stool and small dark brown pebbles in the same stool.  I go about every day.  Popcorn now seems to cause added uncomfortability and even severe scratching especially when going to the bathroom.  Now, just the other day I had a single green messy/runny stool with a LOT of stuff in with it that I can only describe as fuzzy membrane stuff.  Is all this just coincidence?  Anyone else have anything like this?

You must have gotten some kind of parasite from the food you ate (food poison)  ***@****

So, is this an ongoing thing?  I assume I'll have to go to doc and he'll give me something after he determines what it is to get rid of or kill the parasite, if that is what it is?

A green stool can be caused by many different things (iron supplements, food that is hard to digest, food additives, for example).  From what I read, bile that is secreted in the first part of the small intestine is green. The stool changes color as it passes through the large intestine. If it's still green by the time it is excreted, it might be that it passed through the large intestine too quickly. The experts call this "rapid transit."  It's not unusual to have this happen now and then.  But if it continues to be a problem, it's wise to see a doctor.

Some of the other problems you mentioned could be due to the stress and strain on your body during the episode.  I've had food poisoning so I know what that can do to you.  (I hope I never have to go through it again.)  Do you think that you might have hemorrhoids?  What you described sounds similar to my husband's symptoms. The burning in your chest could be esophagitis.  Also, I've heard of people with peptic ulcers who symptoms subside after they eat.
