SHORTNESS OF BREATH

I had an ulcer in 1996 that was caused from abuse of ibuprofen. I stopped using ibuprofen and through the consumption of aloe vera and a change in diet the ulcer virtually dissapeared.
I also had a hernia in 1997 that was caused from an accident and was repaired surgically. Since 1999 I have experienced occasional shortness of breath which is usually accompanied by massive abdominal gas. When it first appeared my Doctor performed a blood test and a chest x-ray. He found my cholestral was very high however nothing abnormal showed up on the xray.
The shortness of breath is quite frightening and I am not sure what it could be or how to treat it.

Please read Concerend lady's articles on Vocal Chord Disorder and Shortness of Breath.  Not, saying this is it, but it is very good reading.  Reflux/Gerd can cause VCD.
