colon polyps

My mother in law have colon polyps and they checked it its not cancer, they took some off while they did
the exam and told her to come and check it after 2 month, when they check it after 2 month they saw more
polyps that grow in the colon this time about 8 mm and the other from before was 3 centimetre and they said they
cant take it no more because its keep growing, what do you think the cause for that and why it keep growing
and what we can do for that?

Sorry to hear that your mother in law has had polyps that are growing in the colon.

It's important to have these followed, because if they grow, they may need to be biopsied during colonoscopy to consider the possibility of cancer.

You need to set up an appt. with a gastroenterologist and have a colonoscopy done as soon as possible, so he can look at your colon.  He will be able to take tiny pcs. out and have them biopsied for cancer; if nothing else they will need to be monitored to watch their growth.  I have a colonoscopy every year -- the "prep" is worse than the test!.  Please keep us informed as to what you find out.  Some of us really do care...  Good Luck.  aar1151
