Thalassemia Minor and Cialis: increased risk of priapism?

Hello,

I have read in a few websites that there is an increased risk of priapism in patients who take ED drugs like Cialis/Viagra/Levitra and who also have (among other conditions) Sickle Cell Disease and/or Beta Thalassemia.

It's not clear to me whether Beta Thalassemia Minor (my condition) also increases that risk.I could not find much information about it. I am aware that sickle cell disease is not the same as Beta Thalassemia Minor, but because some websites mention Beta Thalassemia or just Thalassemia in the "increased risk" list, I would really like to know if my condition does put me at risk.

I'm considering using Cialis but I wouldn't like to use it if the risk of Priapism is increased for my condition. I have still undiagnosed partial ED and I'm considering using small dosage like 2.5-10mg.

I would appreciate your answer/advice.

Thanks
