Contact question

I wear acuvue advanced for astigmatism contacts.  I put a brand new pair of disposable contacts in a few days ago.  Like always I proceed to put my make up on.  I got as far as putting foundation on my face and after I went around my eyes with the liquid make up, its probably safe to assume that a part of my contacts brushed with some of the make up.  The lense was blurry so I washed my hands thoroughly, took the lense out and rubbed with solution for 30 seconds.  Put the contact back in and it burned my eye and it seems there is a permanent smudge that will not come off.  I tried soaking the contact for 48 hrs straight, re-rubbing, and putting it back in and it still exists.  Is there no hope of wearing this brand new lense again without the smudge?

Agree - throw it away.  Ruined lens.

Hey, we're talking about a disposable contact that was once worth a few bucks (at most).  Throw the soiled lens away!

I used to wear Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism--and I read several reports that this particular contact gets a lot of protein buildup in some wearers.  Schedule an appointment with your eye care provider to discuss your problem of film on your lenses.  Possibly, you'd be happier in a different brand of toric contacts.

In addition - I'd like to blame this on make-up but it also seems like there is an often present film on my contact lenses. Could my eyes be producing something that would cause a film on my contacts?
