Contacts stuck.

I wore my contacts for about a week without taking them out and now I cannot remove them. How serious is this? Is there any way I can get them out myself? Is it stuck because of proteins? if so, can I flush my eye out with anything to help remove these proteins?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Dear EyeProb,

I would recommend that you use some artificial tear eyedrops and follow the written instructions that you were given to remove your lenses.  IF this does not easily work, I would seek the care of an eyeMD or urgent care to assist you.

Although I've never worn my own contacts for that extended period of time. Given your current condition I'd seek professional care first you could risk serious damage and scarring to your eye
