So I had a yearly appointment with a new eye doctor because my insurance changed. I haven't had the same eye doctor for consecutive years so I don't know if I should contact my last eye doctor to see if he noticed anything this new optometrist noticed. I just have a few questions. That of course I didn't think to ask until now.
I have hazel eyes and here recently I noticed the whole outer rim of my coloring has turned a dark blue. My optometrist examined my eyes for a long time. He told me I have an enlarged nerve in my left eye. That no other eye doctor has ever told me about. He said I was probably born with it, but wouldn't another eye doctor have said something about it?
Also, my optometrist told me that I have blue crystals on my eyes, I also have a sunspot on my right eye ( don't know how because I am so pale)..He said that the "blue crystals" don't effect my vision just causes a pretty color. I have started to get serious light sensitivity to the sun and difficulty wearing contacts especially in my left eye where he said I had an enlarged nerve. What if anything are these "blue crystals"?
Should I be worried or get another professional opinion?
