I live in Delaware, I would like to find a doctor that could do surgery to close my dilated pupil. I no longer have macular edema and would like to relieve the glare from my dilated pupil.
Probably not - but ask the retinal specialist.
I have used the ZiBrom drops and Econopred Plus drop since October 2008 and prior to that I had an injection fo Avastin. Neither have worked for me and have not helped my macular edema. I was wondering if you thought that a laser treatment would work?
I suppose your question is what can be done for an abnormally large pupil after cataract surgery? It is possible sometimes to try pilocarpine drops. If vitreous strands or fbrous tissue is holding the iris open then that can be surgical corrected in many instances. Sometimes surgical suturing of the iris can be done for rare cases in which the larger pupil is really actually causing a problem. At present, it appears you have bigger problems than the pupil. For your macular edema, treatment consists of anti-inflammatory drops, sometimes steroid injections subtenons or even intravitreal are possible treatment options.
