I did not get new glasses yet but the vision isn't blurry more like dream state wavy. Just very foggy with Shimmering now and again and sore behind retina once in a while. My doc did say my next apt April 2014 he will check if their is liquid in my retina. I'm hoping that is the only reason. I don't care if I get full vision as long as the double vision stops and fog lifts. Thanks for the input.
There are several reasons for the decreased vision: scar tissue (epiretinal membrane) on the retina, cystoid macular edema (fluid in the macula, which is the center of the retina), elevated eye pressure with optic nerve damage, recurrent retinal detachment. Have you been given a new glasses prescription after the surgeries? If not, it is possible that this would help. However, a blind spot will not be corrected by a new glasses prescription. You need to see your retinal surgeon again. If the cataract was removed, and the cloudy capsule behind the implant was opened with the YAG laser, then the problem is likely in the retina.
