I always have deep nerve pain in my left eye, whenever I go into sunlight. Please tell me why.

Hello,

I am 25 years old and my height is 5feet 7.5 inches. Well that is nothing to do with my eye problem. I have a strange eye problem. It suddenly started in my life. The problem is, whenever I go into sunlight, either I will have pain after a few minutes or after I return from the sunlight it will start after 10 , 15, 20, 25 minutes. First it will begin slowly, then after sometime, it will be so immense, that I have nowhere to go. And after sometime, I will start vomiting, I can't eat, drink. Anything I try to consume, it instantly comes out. Sometimes it also happens when I dont go into sunlight. Then the same above-mentioned process starts. I have consulted the eye specialist and he checked and told me that I absolutely have no problem. He told me to consult to a physician. I visited a physician, and he checked me and gave me some medicines. The medicines were:
Inderal 10, then 20, some pills I dont remember, and some vitamins, B-complex or something like that. But neither of them helped.
But, during the winter when I go into the sunlight I dont catch this pain. Yes I do catch, but that is very little and can be tolerated. And also it catches only if I am under the sunlight for some long long time, say 5, 6, 7, 8 hours. But when I dont go out at sunlight in winter, there is no pain at all. Life is so nice and beautiful for me at that season. Also in rainy season.

But except those seasons, life is such a hard thing for me. I am so scared that, I cant even take a look at the sunlight from my window. Please what the problem is? I am feeling so confused and helpless.

Waiting for help.

Thanks.

I believe that the doctor feels that you should be examined by an eye md, in person..
He wants you to see an ophthalmologist, then a neuologist. Take his message with you, because he has made comments on what they should look for.

You might also consider seeing an allergist. I see one, and it helps tremendouly.

If you need more support in going to the doctors, just write back.

You have a fairly unique case, and I have no objective information so I can only make some general comments.  See an ophthalmologist and make sure you don't have  uveitis, corneal disease, or glaucoma.  Next see a neurologist and be evaluated for possible migraines.  It is possible that your problems are worse in spring, summer because you have very severe allergies which are worse then and better in winter when pollen counts are down.  These are just a few thoughts.  Your case is too complicated for me to go any further here.
