IOL Overcorrection

After 4 weeks from having a cataract removed I'm disappointed in the results compared to the contact lens I wore. There's astigmatism and reading glasses have increased from +2.0 to +3.25.
I'm seeing the doctor next month for followup and fit for glasses.
The reason I wonder if I was overcorrected is because this looks the same as the first contact lens I wore. After I was given one a half a diopter lower, all the astigmatism and blurriness went away and I could read the dashboard in my car.
Does this sound like overcorrection? Are the risks increased for a replacement IOL compared to the original?

After an office visit, my prescription is +1.25. Cornea is good.
The day after surgery 8 weeks ago I could read 20/30, now it's 20/50 at best.
I have a floater that looks like a clear, jagged rectangle.
Vision is wavy for a couple of hours in the morning.
Things are corrected pretty well with glasses.

Any clues?
My doctor says it's unusual that things haven't stabilized, but couldn't find any reason for it.

Dear Gowrie,

I would speak with your eyeMD to determine whether your refraction is indeed the prescription that you are wearing.
