Patients can notice many vision changes with Crystalens implants which are similar to those caused by opacification of the 'posteriopr capsule' behind the implant. The question is, are they being caused by opacification of the capsule or is it something due to the implant. If the second ophthalmologist does not implant Crystalens frequently, he may be assuming that the posterior capsule is the source of your symptoms when it is not. Of course, if the posterior capsule is obviously opacified this is visible on examination. So you can ask the second guy whether he saw obvious opacification that clearly explains your symptoms, or whether he saw just a little opacification and is guessing that it is the cause of your symptoms.
People will get on waiting lists for cars and iPhones but not wait a few weeks to see a doctor. Personally I think you should get an appointment with your original cataract surgeon. Certainly if you have YAG treatments by someone else and then feel your symptoms persist, or you have complications from the YAG, then this is "all on you" and you cannot carry any complaints back to the doc who did the implants.
Thanks again for the excellent advice. I have an appointment to see my original cataract surgeon and will anxiously await the results. Blackwell69
