Post op cataract surgery pain

Suddenly after over 2 years following successful cataract & lens implant surgery I am experiencing pain in my eye.  The pain is all over the eye, but does not affect my vision.  The pain is constant over a period of about one week.   I do experience some relief after the eye is closed, but the relief is not immediate.

Dear BJHOP,

It is important to have your eyes evaluated by an EyeMD.  Be sure to tell your doctor as much as possible.  Some questions to consider are how long the pain lasts each day, is it sharp or dull, over one eyes or both and the location.  He or she may have some more.
