Ive been to 3-4 seperate opthamologists and they all said they see nothing wrong with my retina at all, No tears or detachments. I dont even know if vitreo-retinal specialists exist here in canada LOL
I'm not a dr. but sometimes I feel like I have my Phd in retinas because I have had so many surgeries and problems. Floaters are usually nothing to be worried about, most people have them and you get more as you age. Sudden onset of black dot floaters can mean you have a tear in your retina and a bleed, this needs immediate attention. If you are really worried about your vitreous find a vitreo retinal specialist in your area and get a complete exam. And if anybody suggests a surgery or procedure of any kind get a second and third opinion. The elegant and delicate organ that is your eye is not to be trifled with.

Please see a retinal specialist if you can in your area. Floaters are very, very common, so this is not an unusual situation at all. It is imperative that your retinal be very carefully examined to make sure you do not have a retinal tearor detachment or bleeding or some type of uveitis or inflammation.
