Swelling due to stress *** BUT

Just over a year ago I awoke one morning with blurry vision, just thinking i was tired I went to work, while there i noticed that my right eye was very very blurry.   Just thinking it would pass, I ended up going to the ER 3 days later and in turn sent my to an ophthalmologist , where he used a laser to look at th back of my eye and said it was swollen, probably due to stress as he did not see anything else.

well its been a year and still blurry (not as bad as before but still not my 20/20 I had before)

Is there anything i can do to get the swelling down? (he prescribed me nothing)

is there another test or anything that would reduce the swelling

Thanks

hummm  i went to the website Visudyne.com and they hada self test. It shows 3 grids of line with a black centre (basically) and then had 3 different pictures that represent what your vision might look like.

For me, its none of them.  the center of my vision is not blacked out, its just blurry.

i should note that the ophthalmologist said he could fix it with laser surgery but there is an 80% chance scare tissue might develop and would loose sight in that eye.

(also when it first happened I'd close my good eye and everything would seem to have a reddish tint in colour

thanks for you help...

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Probably related to a condition called Central Serous Chorioretinopathy or Retinopathy (CSR or CSCR). Can be difficult to treat and stress is thought to be a relation. Some retina specialists advocate Visudyne or laser treatment. Best wishes,
