Tecnis multifocal lens and still blurry?

I just had Cataract surgery 2 weeks ago and I still have ghosted images on letter and some objects, which cause my vision to be blurry. I went with a "premium Lens" the Tecnis Multifocal to have better reading and distance vision. I alos had astagmis correction when getting the implants. My question is that normal after 2 weeks? If so what is a general time frame for this to go away?

Hi Rick this question comes up frequently. Please see some of the other posts as well. Multifocal IOLs (mtf iols) are great, but tricky. 3 things need to be in line: hardly any remaining ammetropia or astigmatism, healthy eye surface (ie no to little dryness) and a centered mtf. 2 weeks is still very early though. Ask you medical doctor ophthalmologist this question. As a surgeon, I'm committed to giving all patients the best vision. If I implant a mtf iol, then I do free iLASIK to touch up the patient if needed.

Sincerely,
Timothy D. McGarity, Medical Doctor
