YAG laser question

I had the Crystalens implanated in both eyes at the end of last year.   My surgeon is no longer available (and his records are not, either).  About a month ago I had yag laser treatment (by another surgeon) of one eye.  It went from pre-laser treatment 20/15 distance vision to post-laser treatment of 20/25 distance vision.  The second surgeon is not sure why that happened.  I do recall the first surgeon saying he was going to do slight monovision although I don't recall which eye that was -- I thought it was the other eye.   My first surgeon did lots of Crystalens implants; the second surgeon does them occasionally but prefers another premium lens.

My question is this:  I've been told that my other eye also has opacification that could get worse and asked if I wanted to have the laser treatment now or wait.  How complex is the yag laser treatment?  Is the result I got unusual?  Are there any red flags here in terms of who is doing the laser treatment?  How much risk would there be of having the same result in the second eye?

Thanks!

On the community forum, Dr. Oyakawa recommends that Crystalens patients seek out a Crystalens "Center of Excellence" for an ophthalmologist who has gained a good degree of expertise with this lens.  I believe you can find one near you by going to the Crystalens website,

The surgeon recommended the laser treatment because I had "folds" in the capsules of both eyes, worse in the one I had the laser treatment for.  I had very good distance vision but needed reading glasses for near and intermediate vision.  Now I can read without reading glasses but the distance vision in my left eye is blurry.

What's a good way to find a surgeon who not only does a lot of crystalens implants but does them very successfully?

Why did you need the laser if your pre-laser vision was 20/15???  That's the big question here for me.  I suppose the laser could move the position of the lens but shouldn't if a small enough opening is made in the capsule.  If your vision is decreased in the other eye and you need the laser done, go to a surgeon that does a lot of crystalens implants.
