allergic to silicone and acrylic

I am chemically sensitive and have lupus.  I am allergic to petroleum products and silicone. I wondered if I can have cataract surgery.  I am also allergic to many other things ever since I was involved in a toxic paint accident 20 years ago and had high levels of benzene and toluene in my blood.  I also have developed lupus and had breast cancer. My eye dr has tried silicone plugs 3 different times and every time I have swelling and an eye infection.  Is there some way I can have successful cataract surgery?  Thank you.

There are implant lenses made of acrylic, in addition to silicone. Perhaps there is a way for an allergist to test if you are allergic to acrylic. If you are, the other alternatives are the PMMA (polymethamethacrylate) implant which is rigid and cannot be folded like silicone and acrylic, or the collamer implant.
