Dear crystal131,

I would definitely recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the cause of your visual loss.  Corticosteroids can cause secondary glaucoma or cataracts with prolonged usage.

Go see an ophthalmologist, eye MD, ASAP!
Prednisone does not cause central vision loss or macular damage.
In steroid responders it increases IOP and causes optic nerve damage, but it is the peripheral vision that is lost first.
