Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I am 33 years of age and have never had eye surgery or any other procedure done on my eye. My job requires sitting in front of the computer for a long time.
I tried some simple experiments to gather more information. My wife has eye drops for dry eyes and I tried those and they did not help. If I lie down mid-day and close my eyes for about 1/2 hr the vision improves but then slowly deteriorates again.
I switched back to my old glasses and they seem to have helped. The vision in my right eye is slightly weaker in the old prescription and my vision is slightly blurred even at the start of the day but more or less stays the same. With the new glasses the deterioration is much more as the day progresses. I have gotten the new glasses checked and they have been correctly made according to the new prescription.
Can the change in the rotation angle for Astigmatism cause these problems. All my life the rotation angle had been 180 degrees in my right eye, but the new glasses were prescribed with 005 degrees albeit with an increase of 0.25 in cylindrical power. When I would put on the new glasses I would feel a strange rotation feeling in my eyes.
I tried calling the doctor again and got an appointment for Aug. 21. Can't be any sooner as he is on vacation.
Thanks for your time.

It is hard to say without a more complete history and exam. You do not state your age, or whether or not you have ever had eye surgery. Some of the possibilites include variations in your blood sugar as the day progresses or dryness of the surface of the eye, but I would expect these to affect both eyes. Another possibility is vision fluctuation due to prior radial keratotomy. A complete exam by an ophthalmologist is needed. Call the ophthalmologist every day to see if there has been a cancellation, and whether or not you are able to obtain an appointment sooner.
