Seeing stars in eyes

I had a slight eye infection in right eye about 4 weeks ago and it cleared up but I started seeing flshes in my left eye. When I open my eyes in the morning I see them and I get them through out the day, they are like lots of stars. i went to my optician on Wednesday as I wear glasses anyway, she examined my eyes and said the retina looked ok but if they got worse go to casualty and if they persist visit my doctor in a few days. they haven't got any worse but i still have rhem and am worried about it.i don't know where to go?

Went to casualty today and they said he couldn't see anything regarding the retina so I will see a opthalmologist next monday . A few years ago I developed burning pains all over my body and nothing showed up,they eventually disappeared 6 months later.I have had these sensations in my legs since last night.I don't know if they are from anxiety or could these pains and my eye problem be realted to something more serious?

Go ahead and see an ophthalmologist or medical doctor that is an eye specialist.  I think the continued symptoms warrant that.  You might just have ordinary floaters but since they are new I would want to rule out any retinal tear or detachment.
