loss of vision and pressure behind eyes

My vision has decreased over the last year from no problems at all to needing thick reading glasses. I feel alot of pressure behind my eyes and they are bright red all the time, my eyes look like I had cried all day. When I was a child I had a lazy eye, I used a patch for about a year. But now I am in my early fourties. I also have alot of headaches and can not see at night, in bright rooms or first thing in morn.  1 year ago no vision problems at all. Thanks, Robin

Dear Robin64,

I would definitely recommend that you undergo a complete eye examination with an eyeMD.  It sounds as if you might be farsighted and have aging changes of your eyes; however, without the examination this might not be a correct diagnosis.
