post cataract dizzyness

I had cataract surgery on both eyes, one 2 months ago the other 6 weeks ago.  I have been dizzy since the day after the first surgery whenever I read or use the computer for more than a few minutes.  I got progressive lens glasses about 2 weeks ago, but that hasnt made much difference.  My surgeon said that it was because of the major change in diopes and would go away eventually.

How long is reasonable to wait for my eyes/brain to adjust before seeking another medical opinion to make sure that there wasnt any problem with the surgery or the implanted lenses?

Would seeing a neuro-opthomologist or seeing someone for some type of eye exercises make sense?

I am in my mid-60s with no other medical problems but have always had some similar problems when I would get new glasses but it would resolve itself in a week or less.

The eyes have different lenses. One is for distance and the other is for mid-range.  I can see well with the mid-range one. The distance one only corrected to 20/40 so I now have progressives for these plus reading.

First, how appropriate...your name. Love it! Second, sorry for your difficulties. With either eye open and no glasses in place, do you see well at distance. Do both eye see equally well at distance? Or does one see much better at distance and the other better at near without glasses?

If the eyes are very different then this can be difficult and it would be reasonable to seek a second opinion at this point.
