vertical double vision

Hi, i am from Italy.I am astigmatic and myope (just a little: 0.25/20). Since one moths I have vertical monocular double vision, but in both eyes.this is mainly related to the writing. Since a months before the double vision, i have drye eyes (in particular at waking up).I've done an Hess screen and the red filter. The results are negavtive (just a little exoforia), and the eye doctor says that the eyes also are ok, but just dry. I have chronic allergic conjunctivities and I am using eyes drops since several years. One year ago I also made a Magnetic reasonance to the head, negative (for vertigo). The oculist said tha the cause could be somatisation (since the results are negative). Could that be possible?Shuold I investigate or to do something else? This situation is not comfortable for me and I would like to find a solution.
Thanks In advance

Kindly regards

Really thank you for the answer, Dr. Kutryb.

The strange thinghs (in my opinion), is that I have monocular diplopia in both eyes, and it started the same day. Anyway I will provide for the  exams that you are kindly suggesting me.

Regards

If you truly have mild MONOCULAR double vision that means that you still have it even with only that one eye open.  It does not go away when you close one eye.  You can look up the causes of monocular diplopia and off the top of my head I would want to rule out dry eye keratopathy, mad dot corneal dystrophy, irregular astigmatis, iris defects, untreated regular astimatism, cataract and epiretinal membrane. A corneal topography, wavefront analysis, and macular OCT would help to figure out the cause and proper treatment.
