whats wrong with my eyes?

im a 43 year old male that has always had good vision all my life, never needed glasses. over the last year iv noticed that when i look to my left with my head straight forward i get double vision. when i look to my right with my head straight forward my vision is fine. but there has been times when im looking straight ahead i would get double vision. but thats only been a couple times. i have an appointment to get my eyes checked next week but im very concerned so i thought i would get an opinion prior to going to my apointment. can someone please help me?

You should see an ophthalmologist for this.  Could be a 6th nerve or abducens palsy or other abnormality that would be more serious and may require imaging of your head (MRI).  Make sure your appointment is with an ophthalmologist and not an optometrist.
