Fertility issues

Hello Iam 18yrs. Of Age & My Husband Is 21yrs. of age we have been trying too conceive for 7months now and still unsure of pregnancy. Febuary 09 i missed my period and got it Early March and it stayed longer than normal now im wondering why i didnt get my period for march around the same time. my periods are normally regular they only last 6 days but in the beginnning of march i had a 10-12 day long cycle...Im not on any meds we are ttc naturally. what does this sound like?

p.s i had my last dose of birth control shot in July 08 and my periods where normal again around october,nov,dec, and january so im not understanding this.

It sounds to me like you didn't ovulate normally in January.  When you don't ovulate, instead of getting a period, your lining continues to build up, then when it does flush out ( your March period) it is usually extra heavy and long, like two for the price of one!

It can be very normal to miss a period now and then, but if this becomes a monthly problem, it may slow you down on your plans for a baby.  If you want to speed up the process, you could use something like Femara or Clomid which are "mild" fertility medicines and don't have an extremely high risk for multiples.  They are also not super pricey.  At your young ages, you two may just want to let nature take her course, and spend some time enjoying each other for awhile!
