TTC - Am I doing everything I can?

I guess I have unexplained infertility. I have had all my blood tests done and an HSG test. Hubby's sperm analysis came back fine... my blood tests indicated anticardiolipin antibodies, which I am taking one baby aspirin a day for. Also low progesterone - my doctor put me on Clomid and that has raised my progesterone levels. HSG came back fine. Now she wants me to do IUI but we just can't afford that right now. We will look into that maybe in 6 months or so. I'm just wondering what I should do in the meantime. I'll definitely keep taking baby aspirin, but is it a good idea to keep taking Clomid for awhile (have been for 4-5 months) and just keep trying naturally, maybe with OPKs? Is that all I can really do at this point? I hear of people taking different things to help with low progesterone, but not many that are taking Clomid for that... so I'm just wondering if that's the best thing for me

Do you see and RE or an OBGYN? Did she do a pst coital test to check the thickness of you CM? My RE has tried putting me on Femara. I'm hoing that i works because Clomid did nothing for me. I suggest that you relax and try to put it out of your mind until you can afford the IUI. Also, talk to you insurance and see what if anything they might be willling to cover.

Hi,we've been ttc for just over 5 years,we have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I had a laproscopy investigation 2 years ago to check for any visible probs n the results were fine thankfully n fiance's sperm fine too. I took clomid for 6mths last year but we didnt conceive, just done my 3rd cycle with it this year. You can take it for 6mths but then they reccommend a break from it for 3mths,and I've read it can have a negative effect on cm so not to take it for more than a yr in total. I ovulate some mths but not others and had low progesterone, clomid made me ovulate and increased my prog dramatically,so positive effects in that respect. We are trying ivf treatment soon,we have an app for our 1st consultation on the 23rd june. Are u taking 50mg of clomid on day 2-6?-i did. Have u had any investigations done? gd luck, keep me posted, clomidkid x

Thank you for the comments, ladies... starting this month, they upped my dosage to 100mg on days 3-7. I just got a positive OPK last night and will have another prog check on CD23. I currently see an OBGYN... I was seeing a regular doctor but he didn't know anything, so am so glad I found this one. She really hasn't done as much as I see some of the ladies on here have gone through. We've checked everything with DH and he is fine. I had and HSG test which showed everything was fine... I've had all the blood tests and that's what I mentioned in my first post, so I'm taking the Clomid and baby aspirin to help those things. I haven't had the dr say anything about checking thickness of CM, but I try to check on my own (don't know if I really know what I'm looking for) but it seems to be fairly thick, although I did use preseed a couple times to help just in case. I've actually decided to keep up with the 100mg for a few months and see what happens. Especcially if 6mths is hte longest you are supposed to take it, I think I've reached that. Anyway, If nothing, than we have decided to take a break for awhile. As you all know how incredibly stressful this can be. :) Thanks again for your comments... I'll try to keep you posted
