reversal/one tube question

I will try to make this short, I had a tubal reversal on one tube in Nov. ( I lost one tube due to an ectopic in 2005 but was able to go on and conceive daughter 6mths later) I also have an older son who's 8 now. Anyway, I had the reversal and an hsg in Jan. and was told my tube is open.  My real Ques. since I have one tube and keep hearing differing opinions is it true that your remaining tube can actually "whoo" the egg to that side if my 'wrong' ovary produces an egg one month. Also is it true that you can O from same Ovary multiple months in a row : )  I had my fsh/estradiol test done as well as progesterone before the reversal and my doctor said everything came back normal. Is it safe to say that after my reversal my levels should still be normal..reason I ask is because I'm on CD18 and still no ovulation. : ) Your help would be much appreciated!!

Hi!
It is true that a fallopian tube can pick up a follicle that was ovulated by the opposite side ovary.  It is also possible to ovulate from the same ovary multiple times in a row.
The tubal reversal should not have much if any effect on your ovaries/hormone levels.
It may be that your OPKs are not working properly.  One way to determine that is to have a progesterone level done on CD 21.  Call your doctor!
Gobod luck!

Thanks so much for your response!! It eases my mind quite a bit! Also wanted to say that I got a TRUE positive this morning on my opk, cycle day 19!! Its a bit late, but my cycle is generally 32 days, so I guess that puts it right around the right time! Last month it just happened to be a 30 day cycle so I started getting positives around cd14 and my bbt chart confirmed O on CD 16. I just needed to practice a little more patience!! I have a dr. appointment today so i was planning on just asking her to allow me to have a requisition for my cd 26 progesterone (since I will probably O today and its supposed to be 7DPO test right) just to make sure my body is doing what its supposed to. But I assume everything is fine. Thanks again!
