feeling hopeless

this might be the completely wrong forum to post this on but i have no idea where else to put it. i couldn't find just a general forum.  anyway, long story short, i've been having pains, headache, extreme fatigue, dizziness and all sorts of other stuff since october.  i've seen my primary care Many times, neurologist and cardiologist. i've been tested for thyroid, lupus, lyme, any rhuematic diseases, mri on my head and neck, stress test, echocardiogram and so many more....everything always comes out normal but i feel far from it. as of lately i've been getting pains in my feet, hands, forarms and legs. i even had a random sore spot on my thigh which felt like a bruise if i touched it yet no bruise there. also HORRIBLE indigestion and gas with chest and back pain. the pains aren't unbareable but they are getting worse by the day and keeping me up at night. when i do fall asleep i wake up covered in sweat.

so, i feel like i've been tested for everything under the sun and still no answers. the neurologist and internal medicine doctor that i'm seeing now both suggest that it's all in my head and due to stress and both tried to prescribe me lexapro!! i am not depressed, i am not stressed, i just feel horrible every day and night. the pains seem to come more often at night.

anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

When you had your gallbladder removed did they tell you that from then on eating foods with fat will be a problem? When I was reading you post about having trouble with fatty foods, etc that first thing I thought was "Sounds like your gallbladder"

After your gallbladder is removed, fat digestion is difficult (and there is fat in quite a few things). It doesn't matter that you have FMS, not having a gallbladder requires a lot of dietary modifications.

@klu1021 Antidepressants can help some with sleep issues, even if you aren't depressed.  Getting good sleep is important...and lack of sleep (and not just quantity, quality matters too) can CAUSE health problems.

Do whatever it takes to take care of you...even if you have to take meds for a while. Focus on eating healthy and getting good sleep and try not to stress other things for a while...

thank you guys for your replies. I figured what the heck and started taking the lexapro about a week ago. it's helped calm me down and sleep better but i'm still having horrible headaches. i read that lexapro can cause headaches so i'm trying to wait it out. i also got this really wierd feeling last night in the middle of having a headache. i got this really hot heat rush that started in my chest and went all the way up to my head.....i felt like someone lit a flame inside me for about 2 minutes then it went away. really wierd.

Hi, Your symtoms sound a lot like mine. I deal daily with gas/indigestion. I have gastritis, also acid reflux. I get bloated very easy when I eat. I have changed my diet. Make a note of the things you eat. Dairy, fatty foods, veggis, cereals, fruits. I also suffer from diarrehea pretty bad. I have been tested very much.. do not have gluten issue. for some reason, I do well wiith carbs. I cant eat anything that has fat in it. Even soups with chicken broth effect me. Lettuce, cereals, and fat are the worse for me. I have to eat small meals also, or I get bloated/gas/indigestion. I also have IBS. Alcohol and caffeine and dairy hurt my stomach very much. This is because of the gastritis. I cant take anything with asprin/caffeine either. Getting to the pain, Do you notice it more when you have used your limbs?. Sweeping, vacuming, lifting heavy items? is it worse the next day. I also have the pain as though I have a bruse.  Feet and hands hurt almost all the time. hurts to be massaged, but I have my husband massage vey lite. This is my list.. headaches, dizzyness, vision blurred, brain fog, static sound in my ears, pain from my neck to my feet. hurts to lay in bed over two hours, leg stiffness and weakness, major fatigue, sleep apnea, back pain is sometimes unbarable. You should go to a RA doctor. I have Fibromyalgia.

Try Gaviscon for your indigestion, liquid. Take a swig before you eat. I also have a presription for acid reflux. Perhaps you should request an upper indoscopy.. and colonoscopy. The upper will show what is going on that is causing this indigestion. Could be gurd, gastritis.. I also have a hyhatal hurnia which also causes bad indigestion/gurd. If you are not having issues with your bowels, you wont need a colonoscopy. You will need a GI doctor for these tests. I hope some of this helps. good luck and I hope you find relief soon. Oh, another thought.. I had my gallbladder removed last may. It was also causing alot of pain and problems when I ate.  One thing to look for with gallbladder is floresant color, yellow or green in your stool, and pain when you eat anything with fat, and the pain/gallbladder is located just under the right side, rib, just under your breast. Also, detox indeed might be what you need, ask your doctor first.. and I  also agree to go to natural  health food store. Ask the clerk for help.

Hi,

Ask your doctor/s if they think it might be fibromyalgia. It can mimic many of the things they have tested you for. There are some good sites on-line about it so have a read through them and go back to your doctor/s ready to discuss the possibility. I also believe diet plays a role. I have recently discovered that I have sensitivities ( not true allergies) to gluten, sugar, bananas, grapes, all types of alcohol, caffeine, dairy and many, many drugs and chemicals, including not just prescription but herbs as well.

Good luck
