There is a form of arthritis associated with psoriasis however gout is still more likely. Psoriasis also is associated with increased risk of gout
One other thing....my foot will throb painfully but if someone presses around my foot it does not hurt, and at times I can't stand the sheet to touch my foot....how can that be possible? This makes no sense.
Thank you so much. I had to cancel apt this week with arthritis people due to flu and weather, but I will get there asap to find out why my feet are throbbing like a bugger. Merry Christmas!
oh, and I do have psoriasis
I have seen pics online of bunions and I do have a boney prominence sticking out from the base of my great toe, but I always have had that, only maybe a bit worse now, as my great toe is turning toward my littler toes....I suppose this could also be rhematoid arthritis. The pain is not only on that boney area but on the top and it throbs very painfully. Thank you both for your input. It would be helpful if you could see my foot I think....maybe I should take a pic of it haha....
You need to get an x-ray to assess the joint. Also, blood work should be drawn to rule out arthropathies: gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis etc.
Thank you, I guess I will have to see someone to find out what my options are.
Sounds like gout to me Madge. Often doc will do a blood test and tell you that you don't have it. I have see plenty of cases of gout that were negative on testing. See a foot doctor
