Plantar Faciitis since 2002

Hi,  I've been diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis since 2002.  I've had steroid injections of all kinds.  It's gone from heels to under foot to top of foot, to everywhere possible on foot (feet).  I am at a point where I don't know what else to do.  I've had different insoles made for my shoes, told not to go without them, thus never wearing sandles again, and I'm still suffering.  I am so tired of the pain in my feet that it now is to the point where if I could get them removed I would.  I hate to get up and walk anymore.  I do it, but always with pain.  I have to laugh when people say that it can be gone within a year.  It's been 7 years and I still have it.  What do I do next?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
get an mri of the foot to confirm that it is in fact plantar fasciitis and not anything else.  if it is plantar fasciitis, i would suggest stretching the calf/achilles aggressively.  wear supportive running shoes, icing, massaging, and perhaps physical therapy for ultrasounds and electrical stimulation.

This sounds like more than Plantar Fasciitis.  I've never heard of Plantar Fasciitis pain on the top of the foot.  Could be a nerve problem (Tarsal tunnel??)

For Sandals -- purchase something from Finn Comort.  They are expensive, but they last a long time.  They have an excellant arch support in them. Make sure you get one with at least a 25 mm heel.
