Step smart

Has anyone tried the Step smart foot brace, it is pricey at $199 which works out at about £130.  I have been looking at different foot braces and am wondering if this one is worth the money.

Hi, been using the dynamic AFO for a few weeks now and have gone back to work, so when i went to put my work shoes on, the brace side was pushing my shoe off but fortunately i had another pair which came up further on my foot a bit like an ankle boot which was better to walk in, but i did have to put a plaster on my heel because it did seem to be doing what you said, coming off a bit.  The plaster did help and now i'm wondering if i put a heel pad in the back of my shoe if that will help, i'll let you know.
The two rods at the side doesn't seem to bother me but for all i take the sole out of my shoe and put it on top of the sole plate, if i have worn it for a few hours i do start to feel a burning sensation on the ball of my foot on my big toe.  I'm going back to hospital to let them know how i'm getting on with the brace next month so i will report back with that.

Hi, i've been using my Dynamic Walk AFO for a couple of weeks now and although i feel like i still walk lop sided i think i do actually look quite normal if i can use that term, i have been told i walk a lot better now. I was told by the orthotics that the Step Smart does brake a lot which put me off ( considering the price ) and as i got this on the NHS i will continue to use it, and hopefully benefit from it. please tell me about what happened to you.

i tried to find blogs and people who used step smart , the testimonials on their site looks pretty good but if more people who are currently using them can share their views would be great , i also read their posts a few of the suppliers i guess or Doctors post was about from 2007 n 06 but comments were pretty negative ..that afo looks pretty good light but  i am not sure if i should pay for it cause i am out of U.S and they said there will be no return in any case

Hi glad to see someone started about this, I too am using some old afo tech but I read about smart step recently and would also like to know if someone used it because it will be a lot of money since I am living outside of the United States . My condition is bilateral and almost 7 years now of foot drop very little movement in toes but I can push my feet a little.... Can you tell about yourself?
