Pain on right side below rib cage

I am diabetic for 10 years and on medication.   6 mths ago, have this pain on right side of rib cage. Pin pricking and stretching/pulling pain.  Spasmodic sometimes. Pain is unbearable some days.

Have done ultrasound tests on organs and all is ok.  Gone to see a neurologist and got some prescriptions to help me to sleep at night - pain is there at night.  Wearing my clothes is painful.

Please help or suggest what I need to do.  I have exhausted all possibilities of this cause.  Could this be diabetic thoracic radiculopathy or some form of hypochondriac pain.

I have done a lot of research in internet trying to get some answers desparately.

Thank you

Hi,
The symptoms you have described looks more of a neurological problem. It may be functional also.
Initial evaluation  by a neurologist would be appropriate.

Thanks for the feedback.  The neurologist prescribed gababentin to me and told me to bring down my diabetes glucose level.  My glucose level was 16 last year and I brought it down to between range 6-7.  It hovers now between 7-8 nowadays.  When my glucose level was 6-7, I was already experiencing the pain.

Any other suggestions from you will be appreciated.

Thank you
