I had nasopharyngeal cancer 5 years ago and about 7 months ago started vomiting. I wasn't sick, they just gave me seconds to get to a toilet to vomit. Now I've lost over 10 lbs, the pain is below/behind  my rib cage. They also found a polyp on my gallbladder. I was a bulimic for about 10 years during my teens and early 20's. I am now 53. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia a couple of years ago, but the last cat scan said that I have a very enlarged Hiatal hernia. I will have to barium test in a couple of weeks. My question is like some of the other people who have written. Did my bulimia cause my hernia? Is it possible for nasopharyngeal cancer to spread down. I also had a feeding tube during cancer.

This discussion is related to problems with esophagus after many years of bulimia.
